Winter hiking on Melchsee-Frutt
The Melchsee-Frutt mountain plateau with its massive mountain landscapes is ideal for hiking. High up, in good weather, with fresh air and sunshine, you have a clear view towards the Bernese Alps or down into the valley to Lucerne.
Some of the winter hiking trails on Melchsee-Frutt are tucked away in unspoilt countryside and often offer fantastic panoramic views.
Winter hiking trail Melchsee-Frutt to Tannalp
This is an easy hike on well-prepared, wide paths. The trail leads around the snow-covered Tannensee and back to Melchsee-Frutt. The tour has hardly any ascents. The small chapel at Melchsee invites you to take a detour and there is another picturesque chapel along the way.
Duration: From Melchsee-Frutt to Tannalp and back you need to allow approx. 2.5 hours.
Winter hiking trail Melchsee-Frutt to Bettenalp
The hiking trail leads from the Melchsee-Frutt mountain station in the direction of Bettenalp. Carefree hours in a pristine winter landscape with views of the Melch Valley are guaranteed. Once you reach Bettenalp, you have the option of taking the chairlift up to Bonistock or returning to the valley via Cheselen.
Duration: From Melchsee-Frutt to Bettenalp you need to allow approx. 1 hour.
Winter hiking on pistes and on the sledge trail is not permitted!
