SKATING OR CLASSIC
On the circular route from Melchsee-Frutt to Tannalp and back, around 13 kilometers of perfectly groomed trails offer a varied experience. The route can be skated or classic style. If you don’t want to tackle the long course without a break, take a break at the Tannalp mountain inn. For less experienced skiers or beginners, the 2-kilometre route next to the frozen Melchsee lake offers an ideal alternative without ascents and descents.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING LESSONS
Learn how to get uphill with skillful technique and ski downhill safely in a fantastic winter landscape under expert guidance. Don’t hesitate and book a private lesson or a taster course, we will be happy to show you the finer points of cross-country skiing.

GROOMED TRAILS
The trails are groomed regularly. However, grooming is not guaranteed in the event of heavy snowfall.
CHANGING ROOMS AND SHOWERS
In the old mountain station on Melchsee-Frutt there is the possibility to change clothes and take a shower. The shower can be used for a fee of CHF 2.00.
POINT OF SALE FOR CROSS-COUNTRY SKI PASSES
Cross-country ski passes for the trail on Melchsee-Frutt can be purchased at the ticket office at the Stöckalp valley station, at the Melchsee-Frutt or Kerns guest information office and at Frutt Rental on Melchsee-Frutt. DIGITAL CROSS-COUNTRY SKI PASS
The Swiss cross-country ski pass is also available digitally. You can download the free cross-country ski pass app from the iOS– or Android-Store , buy the cross-country ski pass online and show it directly on your smartphone at a checkpoint on the trail. It is important that you select “Melchsee-Frutt” in the “Home trail” field.
