Getting to the valley station
BY CAR
Take the highway Lucerne – Gotthard (A2) and leave the A2 at the junction “Lopper” in the direction of A8, Interlaken – Sarnen. From Sarnen follow the cantonal road in the direction of Kerns, Melchtal, Stöckalp (exit Sarnen Nord). Navigation device input: Fruttstrasse 53, 6067 Melchtal

POSTAUTO
From Sarnen railroad station, change to the Postbus in the direction of Kerns, Melchtal, Stöckalp directly to the valley station of the Stöckalp – Melchsee-Frutt gondola lift.

Parking lot Stöckalp
The parking spaces are only accessible to day guests and owners, i.e. if you are visiting Melchsee-Frutt for a day, we offer you the opportunity to park your car conveniently in the parking garage close to the gondola lift access.

IMPORTANT: There is a night parking ban for day guests. The maximum parking time is until 01.00 am. The Stöckalp car park is under video surveillance.
The height of the parking garage is 2.20 meters.
Electric filling station at Stöckalp valley station
Sportbahnen Melchsee-Frutt have installed an electric charging station at the Stöckalp valley station. This is located at the entrance to the level A parking garage.
The electric charging station charges your car with water power from the Obwalden power station. Guests must bring their own power cable.
Costs: The parking garage rate applies.
Parking ticket You enter the parking garage by car at the barrier. (In summer, the ticket must be taken directly at the barrier to the parking garage, in winter the ticket must be inserted again from the portal). You can park your car on the gravel parking lot and connect it to the electric charging station. When you have finished your refreshing day in the mountain region, you must validate your parking ticket at the ticket machine.
Snow cab Melchsee-Frutt
Passenger and material transportation in the Melchsee-Frutt area takes place daily from 8.20 am to 5.00 pm
(advance reservation required: 041 669 70 55).
In bad weather, the cab service may be suspended for safety reasons.

Frutt Rental
Frutt Rental offers you everything you need for an unforgettable snow sports experience. The ideal location, right next to the ski slope at the old mountain station on Melchsee-Frutt, for renting or exchanging equipment. So you don’t waste time with unnecessary transportation, but can start your winter fun easily and conveniently.

Mountain road
The road from Stöckalp to Melchsee-Frutt is not passable in winter.

Camping on Stöckalp
On Stöckalp there is a waste disposal point and an electricity connection next to the valley station. Water is not available in winter due to the low temperatures. A pitch costs CHF 30.00 per night. Please report to the cash desk at the Stöckalp valley station.
Refuse collection point
The collection point is located at the old mountain station on the left-hand side.
