Various fireplaces on Melchsee-Frutt invite you to enjoy a cozy barbecue. All fireplaces are accessible by baby carriage and equipped with dry wood, a grill, tables and benches. In the midst of nature, by the water and in the fresh mountain air, you can enjoy a culinary view of the Melchsee-Frutt high plateau. You can find an overview here.
Please note that reservations are not possible at any of the fire pits.
You will find the fireplace directly on the roof of the “old” mountain station. While the children let off steam in the playground, you can light a fire in comfort and then enjoy your lunch together. The fireplace is accessible with a baby carriage.

From the Melchsee-Frutt mountain station, you can reach the Vogelbüel fireplace in just under 15 minutes on foot. The family fireplace is located directly on Lake Melchsee and is easily accessible with a baby carriage.

The Vogelbüel fireplace was listed in the magazine «Schweizer Familie».
You reach the fireplace at Balmeregg on the hiking trail towards Vogelbüel. Walk along Lake Melchsee or the road to Tannalp, past the hundred-year-old Fruttkapelle chapel and turn right to the Erzegg/Balmeregg valley station. The walk takes around 35 minutes.
You can reach the fireplace quickly and easily on the Frutt train. Take the train to the “Distelboden” stop and from there it takes about 10 minutes to the fireplace.

The panoramic lift takes you to the BergSeeStrand fireplace in just under 10 minutes. Enjoy the unique panoramic view from the 36-metre-high viewing platform above the beautiful Melchsee-Frutt high plateau. The barbecue area is ideal for groups.
You can reach the BergSeeStrand quickly and easily with the Frutt train. Get off at the Panoramalift stop. The barbecue area is right next to the access to the Melchsee-Frutt climbing garden.

It takes about 50 minutes to walk to the Schnuer fireplace.
A special experience is the ride on our Frutt train! The Tannendamm stop is right next to the Schnuer fireplace.

Enjoy peace, water and pure nature at Lake Tannen. It takes around an hour to walk from the Melchsee-Frutt mountain station to the Tannen lake fireplace. (The path is suitable for baby carriages)
The Frutt train is also faster and more comfortable.
