Open-Air Museum Ballenberg

Over 100 rural buildings from all over Switzerland, 250 Swiss farmyard animals, traditional gardens and fields, and special events all make a visit to the Ballenberg a unique experience.

The living Ballenberg

Visitors are allowed to walk inside and closely inspect the buildings at the Ballenberg. Demonstations of traditional rural trades and crafts give an insight into life on the land in bygone days. In a presentation that is unique in all of Switzerland, you may admire and observe some 250 farmyard animals.
