Vier-Seen-Höhenwanderung

Melchsee‐Frutt – Tannalp – Engstlenalp – Jochpass – Trüebsee

Die Vier-Seen-Höhenwanderung connects Melchsee-Frutt and Engelberg over a distance of almost 14 kilometers and 600 metres in altitude. The varied hike leads through a fantastic mountain world. The fascinating plateau with its beautiful flora and crystal-clear lakes offers breathtaking views of the Obwalden and Bernese Alps.

Bonistock-Rundtour

Melchsee-Frutt – Bonistock – Chringen – Tannalp – Tannendamm – Melchsee-Frutt

Die Wanderung zum Bonistock (2167 m ü. M.) ist aussichtsreich und abwechslungsreich. Entdecken und riechen sie die einmalige Alpenflora, bestaunen Sie skurrile Gesteinsbildungen der Bonistock-Gegend und die beeindruckende Karrfelder – ein Paradies „nicht nur“ für Geologen und Biologen. Vom Bonistock aus sieht man über das ganze Frutt-Dorf, die Bergseen und kann unterwegs im “Restaurant Bonistock” eine Zwischenverpflegung geniessen.

Hochstollen-Rundtour

Melchsee-Frutt – Balmeregghorn – Planplatten – Hääggen – Hochstollen – Abgschütz – Melchsee-Frutt

If you are in good physical condition and fit for the mountains, the Hochstollen circular tour is a unique mountain experience. Most of the hike is on a very stable mountain path, but some sections require a little more strength. The breathtaking view from the Hochstollen compensates for every bead of sweat.

Erzegg-Rundtour

Melchsee-Frutt – Distelboden – Balmeregghorn – Erzegg – Fachshubel – Tannendamm – Melchsee-Frutt

The hike over the Balmeregghorn ridge via Erzegg to Tannalp offers a magnificent view over the Gental valley and the picturesque Engstlenalp and is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Note the rocks along the way – ore was once mined here

Bettenalp-Bonistock Rundtour

Melchsee-Frutt – Arviböden – Bettenalp – Chringen – Bonistock – Melchsee-Frutt

 

A “different” way to the Bonistock. Over the Arviböden to Bettenalp along the wildlife rest area, you will discover the rugged Schratten, alpine roses, gentian and anemones. Enjoy this unique flora, which you can only find at these altitudes.

Alpine Tour Barglen

Melchsee-Frutt – Bonistock – Chringen – Hohmad – Chli Hohmad – Barglenchäle – Barglen

The Barglen is one of the highest peaks in our hiking region and a treat for
alpine tour experienced “mountaineers”. It takes around 3.5 to 4 hours to reach your destination.

Alpine Tour Brünighaupt

Melchsee-Frutt – Blausee – Abgschütz – Chli Haupt „Muiggächopf“ – Brünighaupt

The Haupt, known locally as Brünighaupt, forms the cornerstone of the western rocky chain above the Melchsee-Frutt high plateau and attracts everyone’s attention from Stöckalp onwards.

From Melchsee-Frutt you hike leisurely via Abgschütz past the imposing Europaleiter to the Chli Haupt “Muiggächopf”. From the “Muiggächopf”, things really get going… surefootedness is essential here at the latest. The SAC Alpine hiking scale for this route is between T3 and T5, the tricky sections are secured with fixed ropes and abseiling points.
